Happy Birthday! Happy Posting!

I promised myself that I would find a way to show off on the web this year....there are two days left. So, first thing I did this morning was to sign-up for Facebook. We'll see how that goes. A couple of cups of coffee later... post on my first blog.
My purpose for this blog is purely selfish, as are most I have lurked around - but in a good way!
I want to show off my creations and share my obsession with beads.

Pictured above is my latest project...wine bottle beads. The necks of the bottles are sliced into rings and slumped in my mini-kiln. I'm brimming with ideas of what to do with them.

While on break for the holidays, I've been finishing some free-form peyote bracelets I started earlier. This one is for me. The picture doesn't do the rich purples justice. Free-form peyote is my favorite beading method. I love the organic cloth-like texture that the beads take on when woven together.
